Kinesiology

Kinesiology is a gentle, expansive and empowering therapeutic modality, which reconnects you back to your inner wisdom and your body's capacity to heal. A powerful mind-body therapy that people often describe as magical. The word breaks down into kinesi - movement - and ology - to study - studying how energy moves through the body.

In sessions we explore where energy might be stuck or blocked because of stress and unresolved emotion, and gently work to release and bring it back into energetic flow and harmony.

Grounded in Traditional Chinese Medicine and five elements theory, we assess the energy channels (meridians), exploring which are blocked and needing correction to allow our life force energy (Chi/Qi) to flow, allowing healthful, abundant and thriving lives.

We start by talking a little more about you, and what you would like support with. Then using muscle testing, your body guides us to explore the blockages which may be manifesting as physical pain, emotional stress, illness, or just that frustrating sense of feeling stuck.

Instead of asking your mind to find the root cause of challenges, we communicate with the body to lead the way and tell us what it needs to heal - this is often a relief for those who find talking challenging, have suppressed memories and are impacted by trauma responses.

Your body shows us what needs care and attention by identifying the deeper links between your emotions, past experiences and how they are affecting your present day. Together we explore what’s coming up and uncover what’s needed to create change in your life.

Every session is unique, not following a linear path which is part of the magic - in the unknown of where the body needs to take us. The awareness and connections that come up will often make sense to you on a deeper level, finding words to understand and giving space for the unprocessed emotions to be expressed.

Often we learn where there are emotional, structural, chemical and nutritional imbalances, requiring lifestyle adjustments and additional remedies outside of sessions. In the clinic we use a blend of tools and techniques which may include flower essences, acupressure points, guided imagery, essential oils, and unlocking energetic systems, amongst many more.

I support people of all ages, from babies where we work jointly with the parents, to adults of any age, background, gender and ability. All are welcome in my clinic.

If you’re unsure whether sessions are for you, please reach out and book a connection call, and we can explore this together.

The Five Elements

Fire

The Fire element is the most yang of all five—it is expansive, expressive, and full of warmth. Fire governs our capacity for joy, connection, and communication. It fuels passion, love, laughter, and spiritual awareness. Just like a flame, it brings light and energy, but when not contained, it can become overwhelming.

Earth

The Earth element represents nourishment, stability, and grounding. It is the energy of home, care, and connection—like the soil that supports and feeds all life. Earth governs our ability to digest food, thoughts, and experiences, and helps us feel centered and secure. It is the heart of empathy and giving.

Metal

The Metal element is about refinement, letting go, and value. Just as autumn trees release their leaves, Metal helps us shed what is no longer needed—emotionally, mentally, and physically. It governs breath, inspiration, integrity, and structure. Metal gives us the ability to reflect, find meaning, and connect with what is sacred.

Water

The Water element is associated with depth, stillness, and potential. It represents the source of life and the most yin energy—quiet, internal, and conserving. Like a deep lake or underground spring, Water holds power in reserve. It governs rest, restoration, and the willpower to persist.

Wood

The Wood element is dynamic, like a tree growing upward and outward. It symbolizes vision, purpose, and decision-making. It gives us the ability to plan, act, and adapt. Just like plants reach for the sun, Wood energy drives us toward goals and fuels personal development.
